Hi,
uWSGI 0.9.8 packages are available in Debian archive for Debian
Unstable users. At last! (I've started packaging a year ago.)

For now, packages are available only for amd64 architecture. i386
should appears in archive in a day or so. Packages for other
architectures were FTBFS by Debian-specific reasons only and I am
working on fix.
uWSGI is splitted in:
* package with daemon infrastructure (uwsgi),
* package with uWSGI core binary (uwsgi-core),
* plugins packages,
* various extra packages.
Almost whole content of uWSGI distribution has been packaged. See [1].
Build configuration of uWSGI core binary can bee seen in package Git
repository [2].
I'll add more detailed explanation of each package purpose and
extensive use of alternatives system to uWSGI wiki (in some day). In
short, if you want to use uWSGI for hosting of Python applications,
install 'uwsgi' and 'uwsgi-plugin-python' packages and read
'/usr/share/doc/uwsgi/README.Debian.gz'.
