Hi, the second release candidate for uWSGI 1.2 is available

Changelog:

* Support for upstart-socket-bridge (from Ubuntu precise-pangoline)

you can configure upstart to run uwsgi only when a socket connection is made:

start on socket PROTO=inet PORT=3033

https://wiki.edubuntu.org/PrecisePangolin/ReleaseNotes/TechnicalOverviewUpstart#Socket_bridge

* Additional include paths

You can instruct the build system to search for additional include paths using
the option

additional_include_paths = path1 path2 …

in your build profile

* New option --static-map2

this is a variation of --static-map for easy mapping of specific file to a
document_root

--static-map /robots.txt=/var/www/static

* Allows static mapping to a fixed file

you can now map specific resources to a fixed file

--static-map /foobar=/var/www/image.png

/foobar/one.gif
/foobar
/foobar/foo/test.txt

will all return the /var/www/image.png file

* Expires subsystem for static files

you can set the expires header for your static resources served by uWSGI

 --static-expires-type image/png=3600
 --static-expires-type-mtime text/css=7200
 --static-expires /var/www/.*\.png$ 86400
 --static-expires-mtime \.css$ 100

the second number in each option is the number of seconds to instruct the
client to retain the resource.
The last two options take a pcre regexp on the absolute path of the served file
(pay attention to that, it is different from the requested uri)

Options ending with -mtime, take in account the file mtime instead of the time
of the request.

* Preliminary support for offloading static file serving

Sometimes, serving static files could be a slow task. Offloading that task to a
thread is a good (and scalable) solution to the problem.
The --static-offload-to-thread <n> generate a maximum of <n> threads per-worker
to serve static files. It is only a proof of concept (that can already help a
lot). In the future
offloading to thread pools basing the choice on paths and file size would be a
better choice.

* Support for multiple mime.types files

* Fixed (and improved) the mime type scanner

* Fixed a missing check on strlen() in cgi plugin

* Fixed rack plugin in FreeBSD9

* Fixed mod_Ruwsgi compilation

* Fixed SERVER_ADDR and SERVER_PORT (again) in Mongrel2/zeromq protocol handler

* Fixed noise in threading module while shutting down python

* Disable workers metrics in carbon plugin

In cheaper modes, per-worker metrics could contain useless data. Use the
--carbon-no-workers option to disable their generation.
