yes, it looks like it is available (btw it is compiled in by default when
you run ./configure)

after perl it is the most "old" plugin, so yes, it is "safe" (even if i
have to admit there are very few production-ready application server for
lua, so even if the uWSGI plugins is not complete it is generally more
than what you will find out there)

In 2.0 it has been improved with websockets support too and better async
mode:
