Make a simple lift adapter out of a couple of pieces of 2 X 4 wood. Cut one piece the same length or *slightly* longer than the rail on the lift that would normally come in contact with the frame. Then cut two more pieces approx. 4" long and bolt them flat against the ends of the long piece of 2 X 4. Make one more of these for the other rail on the lift. *Bolt both adapters to the rails on the lift* This will give you the U-shape that is needed to clear everything that hangs under the frame and allow the lift to make contact with the frame only.
