One problem with the turbo vmax is the low overall gearing,compared with the 
current sportbikes on the market.This lets the engine overrev too easdy on 
boost.The only way I know to correct this would be to go to chain drive so 
you can readily change gear ratios.My other bike is a 900 SuzukiRF with a 
chain.I'll take my Vmax for most riding because of the cleaning and lubing 
the chain every 500 miles and replacement of chain and sprockets every 20k 
or so.I've had my Vmax since 1988 and have only drained and refilled the 
final drive a few times-no parts replacements.5000 miles on the Suzuki rear 
tire is a stretch.The shaft is much superior for a power cruiser because of 
low maintenance and the rear wheel stays cleaner.
