I've used Dexcool in my Max for the last two years. Drained the factory fill
after the first year. Refilled with distilled water and ran until hot. Drained
it and refilled with with a 50/50 mixture if Dexcool and distilled water. It's
been there for two years with no problems. Close to 67M miles and no cooling
problems. I switched to Dexcool primarily to eliminate silicates and phosphates
from the coolant, which has been indicated to shorten water pump seal life.
