Big Charles,
K&N filters are available for the stock airbox - part no: YA-0076 and
individual filters are available for
use with the stage 7 kit - part no: RU-2989. These filters as well as
the jet kits are available from several
different vendors. They are also available from the DynoJet Web site
... http://www.dynojet.com/
They have a downloadable catalogue ... and you can order on-line if
you like.
I have to agree w/ Bryan ... 10% is a real stretch ... but IMHO .. you
get a lot of tuning capability and great throttle response ...
Both of these kits, (4116 - stage 1 and 4716 - stage 7), are more than
a parts replacement if you install them per the Dynojet instructions,
(you have to increase the size of the hole in the end of the slides
.... they provide the drill .. and you have to drill out the caps
covering the pilot mixture screws ... they provide that drill too).
Gas economy will depend on how you set up the kit ... I am sure you
will be able to go from "wonderful" to "Pauloville" depending on your
final settings for the needles and your main jet selection etc

Subject: Re: Dynojet 1 and K&N filter
The standard Stage 1 kit, if bought with a filter, comes with a single
high
flow filter that looks just like the stock filter. A 10% increase on a
Max
would be more than 10HP! I wish this was true but there's no way
you're
going to get and extra 10HP with a stage 1 kit.

Subject: Dynojet 1 and K&N filter
I'm would like to by a Dynojet stage 1 and a K&N filters. But I have
some
doubts. Can you help me with these questions:
1. Does someone of the list have the part number of the filters?
2. Do they work well? They promise to increase 10 or 15% of the power.
It's true?
3. I will have to make modifications on the bike or it's only to
replace parts?
4. Does the MAX will consumer more fuel?
Tank you
