They ARE screws. They were very tight and somewhat corroded on my 85. A
little WD-40 helps.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the stock center section from the front
section? I've removed the four nuts from the studs which are embedded in the
front seat pan, but how do I remove the two allen-head screws(are they even
screws???) that slide in the tracks at the ends of the center section?
