Hi, Guys!

I just changed my hypoid gear oil. I filled it to the brim of the hole, and
just a little oil started to ooze out. I basically did as a mechanic told me
to.

I then put the fill screw back into place, but started to think about the
tiny volume of space the screw is going to replace. If the oil was filled to
the brim, then what "free" space is there to be found? I don't want to end
up pressurizing the oil cavity, especially if it gets hot back there.

Isn't there a little hollow space above the oil level in the hypoid gear
cavity?
