Peter,
Just run your fingers underneath between the carbs either side of the machine and 
check if you have a V-boost butterfly set or just a piece of aluminium block between 
the front and rear carbs on both sides of your bike. You can also look for a 
rectangular black plastic box installed inside by the rear of the left hand side 
scoop. No box no V-boost. 

If you don't feel a kick on your butt when you go over the 6/7000 RPM you have a nuke, 
just as I had.
