Al,
I just mounted a frontend from a ZX9R on my '88 and here's what has to
be done. Triple tree clamps need to be machined. This could be VERY
expensize unless you know someone who has made them before for the same
setup. Your front wheel won't just bolt on. I also bought a new set of
wheels. I got a ZX9R front with 4 piston brakes that goes with the forks and
the rear is a GSXR. The rear took a considerable amount of machining to set
it up for the shaft drive clutch gear. Last but not least, don't forget
about your kick stand. The new forks will probably lower the front of your
bike requiring a shorter side stand. Easy to make but often overlooked. I
bought mine as a package for Pierre in Canada who has done this several
times and has all of the right connections. The forks, triple-tree clamps,
kick stand, brakes and wheels cost me about $1500 and then I still had to
get the wheels powder coated and buy new tires. Pierre may have another
setup like this available. If you want you can send him an email at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] It takes him a day or so to get back to you but he
REALLY knows what he's doing.
I'm not telling you not to buy the GSXR front end but be aware there is a
lot involved with the change over.

I hope this helps,

Bryan
