As a throttle lock I got the cheapest Vista-Cruise unit ($17.95). I went to
a motorcycle salvage yard and got a different throttle barrel with no ridge
on it ($5), the ridge is designed to hold the decorative ring. I then had to
grind the throttle lock unit with a dremel to make the decorative chrome
part of the grip assembly fit flat against it and it works great. For the
bar end it is just a press fit. If you can't grab it by hand and wiggle it
off I've heard others say that they wrappeed a rag around it and grabbed it
with pliers to wiggle off.
