Tom,
My whole bike developed a violent set of shakes with new rubber last year.
The first set of tires was visibly out of round - all I did was spin the
rear on the center stand and watch it go up & down...
I've replaced the tires on my Max many times before, and never had a problem
like this before. I picked up a bad weave/wobble around 100mph that got a
little better with the replacement tires, but didn't go away completely.
It's possible I need to do the Furbur fix since my bike is so old, but the
problem didn't develop slowly over time - it just appeared right after I got
the new tires!

I agree w/ Paul - get more pressure in them. I run mine around 40psi and
he's right - the response is MUCH better than @ 32psi...
I've got the Bridgestone Excedra's on there now, but will go back to the
Dunlops next. My bike was perfect with them before. Why I changed - I
don't know... I think the dealer said this tire had a 1cm offset tread
design to help compensate for the rear wheel offset on the bike.

It obviously didn't help me, so I'm dumping them soon.
