Eric,
You are absolutely right. Having the needles on the last notch (highest fuel mixture)
could not be right, but you see I had tried with the recommended fourth notch from
Dynojet Stage 7 kit instructions with the 175 mains and I was clearly running lean. My
Stage 7 has been installed following word by work the Dynojet instructions, even the
airjet restrictions drilled slides and soft springs.
I had second notch from top with my previous street legal modified Laser slip-ons and
standard filter box, but this is not valid any longer. TBR fully open pipes and
individual K&N filters want more fuel in the mixture. I'm about to try the bike out,
but it is raining like hell right now.
5th notch from top seems to be a good compromise let's see when I try the bike.

I have not tried the smaller 165 jets, but if right now I get white plugs with the
175. It would be against all laws to reduce the main jet. But we are here to learn and
you never know where I will end up. It could be that the bike is happy enough with the
standard filter and S7K small jets, but my aim right now is to see how much power I
can get from a tuned standard engine.

We in Spain find it difficult to find a dyno or a drag strip to test the bike and this
makes it very complicated to know where you stand.

I find your explanations very useful and will try them as soon as I can, but right now
as I'm working all week and arrive home late at night, I only dare to make small tests
before I go to sleep.

I don't really know right now with the Dynojet Stage 7 how the carbs are tuned since I
have the interconnecting S7K pipe, but I'm looking forward into installing the v-boost
in a manual way so I can adjust carbs whenever I want.
I fully agree with you that the carburetion will take a while but normally you should
be able to tune it whatever pipes you have.

Thank you very much and I'll keep you informed.

Best Regards, Charles ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
