Unless you have a lot a time on your hands and just want the experience, I
would recommend taking it to the shop. I am a veteran mechanic and its just
not worth the time or trouble. It should only cost you about $100.00 to
$150.00 to have the forks rebuilt. Just drop the bike off. Its like out
patient surgery.
