Dennis,
The torque for the lower bracket pinch bolts and the ones up top on a
'98 are both 17ftlbs ... This is different as shown in the original
manual section for earlier forks, (85-92), which are 17 on the bottom
and 14 up top, (and I am only mentioning this to deter accuracy
flames).
