Don,
You may have something there ... I couldn't believe this thread ..
because I just had a new Bridgestone put on a wheel last Thursday. I
was really POed when I got it because I saw about a 6 inch string of
stick on weights, (I ordered a boatload of Yamaha weights just so I
would never have to look at a stick ons with a stock rim). What was
more upsetting was that all the weight was at the valve stem .. so I
immediately assumed they did not know enough to put the "heavy" mark
next to the valve stem ... Well I checked and it was there ......... I
pulled their 50 ounces off and put 50 ounces of clip on center weights
... then checked the balance and had to add 20 more ... So I suspect
the "heavy" mark on this tire was not the "heavy" mark ... but more
like the "light" mark !! Of course reading this thread you guys almost
have me convinced to rotate the tire but I just had it out this
morning at "re-entry" speeds and everything is wonderful .... hmmmmm
... rotate tire or watch TV ?? ... rotate tire or watch TV ?? ... let
me think about this ...
