I have one of the early hole shot shifters on my
85 max. It gets its signal off the netural
switch. Of course I don't have a neatural
indicator light. Fact is it works quite well.
Need to be real positive on shift into second
gear then the rest are a breeze.
Reversing the shift pattern helps positive
shifts. My brother got carried away however and
hammered it down too hard going into second and
broke the lever off. Now its back to the original
configeration.
This bike also had the horn button wired as a
kill button some previous owner was trying to do
full throttle shifts manually killing the engine
between shifts. Only thing I can think of!!!!
