Hello All,
I am planning on building a 'special' as the Brits call it. I have a
complete Yamaha GTS1000 single sided swingarm front suspension and a
complete VFR800 single sided swingarm rear suspension. I plan on building/designing
a frame to connect the two toghether with an engine that is yet to be aquired.
Hence my posting to this list... I am a long time VFR owner and love v-four
engines in general.. sadly, the Honda VFR motor just does not have enough
grunt for this project. It seems like the v-max has grunt to spare!
Here is my dream wish list, if anybody has an idea where I can find
anything like this please let me know.
A good condition complete V-max motor with a complete wiring
harness in a clean titled frame (don't plan on using the frame for anything
more than its clean title to register it..). So don't need front or rear
suspension, or bodywork or seat or gastank jsut frame-engine-electrics.
I have looked through the archives but did not find enough
info on the chain drive conversion. Any info, such as, price, quality of
construction, etc would be greatly appreciated.
