Mike,
It sounds like you have "two" problems that may or may not be related.
If you hadn't said a word about your strange Vboost operation ... I
would have suggested that you change the fuel filter ... because you
are running out of gas. This bizarre operation of the Vboost though
needs to be eliminated or blocked one way or the other to make sure it
is not contributing to the problem. It bothers me because this is
exactly where the Vboost should be opening , (actually around 5700 or
something I think it starts). Somehow I am visualizing yours closing
or doing something weird when it should be opening ........ So either
fix it ... (see section in the service manual), or block it open or
closed ... and then address the "no fuel" problem if it still exists
.......... IMHO ...
