Ken: I would not be doing any hammering. Once when I could not get a
screw out I used a screw driver that fit the head of the screw perfect.
I checked this against the screws I had out already. In fact I have a
screw driver that is only used for those four idle screws. I took a 'Q'
tip and cleaned the top of the screw that was stuck in the orfice with
alchohol as best i could. I then applied most carefully a minute amount
of super glue on the middle top edge of the screwdriver. This is the
point where more is not better. I then very carefully inserted the
screwdriver and seated it properly on the screw head and held it very,
very steady till it dried. The first time it did not adhere, probably
because of some greasy residue. The second time it worked like magic.
The key here is not overdoing the glue. Put just enough for those two
surfaces to get to know each other. No GLOBS or that will give you more
problems.Cheers
