TC, I've been noticing while following the list that most if not all ignition problems E.I.: dead CDI boxes, open pick-ups etc., have been the newer ignitions.maybe Yamaha tightened up the spec's but reliability went down.All the problems here in Ottawa were with the new ign. both were CDI boxes.And in my travels talking to other max owners it's the same story the newer ones are breaking down and the older style like mine are still functioning fine. any thoughts on that?
