The
costs for the two gears (pinion and wheel) were about 800DM last year (that is
$375). I have been trying to reach them by telephone, fax and email for the last
three days without success so far. Though a friend of mine told me that they
have stock and can deliver within a week.
I was
composing my next email when this one came in. I will finish it
now....

No ... I was hoping you would find out .... as it appeared a "go" on the
surface ... This is the first information I have seen posted in regard to
this modification. The driven 5th had to fit on the shaft because it
is the same shaft part number ... but interlocking with the adjacent gear is
another story I suppose. Soooooooo ... how bad is the deal at Eiffelmax ??
..... using their gear set ?? Is it cost prohibitive ??

asked someone who has tried the Venture gears allready. What he says is that
the interconnections between the Venture gears and the Vmax gears are not
the same, i.e. the notches/holes in the gears.Has anyone a
Venture gear set to compare to the Vmax ones or does know more about
this?
