well Sam you're very sharp... what I'll try first is to open up the air box a 
little by drilling  two 1" holes through the top of the "Y" . If that doesn't 
work, Then I will remove the "Y" completely...  . If that doesn't work, then 
out come the shims. if that doesn't work then I'll try everything all over 
again only using #40.0 pilot's.
(I have 2 flat rubber plugs that came off a Honda civic timing cover to plug 
in the holes if needed)

if anyone else has tried this with success please let me know.
