Sat Tara,
I am flattered that anyone would think I am a "carb" guy. I have
gotten better but I honestly couldn't spell CV until I became a member
of this list. Learning the things that I have here, (from O-man, TH
penguin, Paul and many others) ... usually make me angry because I can
think of many times in the past where if I had understood what I do
now I could have made better of a particular situation. It is a never
ending cycle though as the longer I stay the more I learn.

I think your proposal is a wonderful idea ... I have been thinking
about it a long time because I never see any carb related tuning
information that really tells the story with an emphasis in the areas
that are so important to the Vmax. Input from a whole bunch of people
on this list has provided some pretty beneficial information but it is
easy for the carb stuff to escape getting assembled into a format
where everyone can pick at it and improve it. There are so many
possible solutions that could be offered by contributors that may be
right or may be wrong ... depending on intake, exhaust, vboost and a
whole lot of other configurations that make it impossible to ever
know if you are being helpful or simply confusing an issue. Of course
.. if we miss the opportunity to identify what made one solution
successful in one case but not in the other then we all keep going in
a circle to some extent.

To make matters worse ... these guys can't be happy with just using
their Vmax as a street dragster !! They have to go touring .. or some
want to do the zig zags ... some just want to go to the track but most
of them want to do it all !!, (and then of course there are the Marios
who escape all definition and have to be incarcerated within the
confines of their "own" special area at the "list" web site). When I
see a "plastic" I know why the rider is on that bike ... when I ride
with the "cruisers" ... it is clear to me where their interests lie,
(try talking to them about anything other than lightbars, mirrors, the
loudest exhaust or breakfast ... sigh ... ). This of course puts any
"solution" at risk .. be it a tail light bulb recommendation, exhaust
system or handle grips ......

Anyhow ... this is a good idea ... IMHO ... the real legacy of a
successful technical list is it's ability to capture useful
information in a format that can be preserved ... I will do all that I
can to help make this become a reality and with the talent available
on this list I don't think it is going to be that difficult of a task
....... (assuming Paul will endorse this activity ... "like he really
only OWNS the list .. and can reach the wall plug") ........
