Dan,
On a completely stock bike .. it would be highly unlikely that you
could run on the stacks alone with or without filters on top of them.
IMHO you just wouldn't be able to get the slides open ..... You might
get close with adjustable needles and light springs but things are
really sloppy without main air jet restrictors, (which are available
in the DJ stage 7 kit .. see Patrick Ahearn's "Cheap Stage 7" post in
archives for an alternative).
