Golly, Gee, WOW !!
Well , I got to take the 1500 for some riding today. I haven't been on a
max for a long time so any max would feel quick to me. PCW gave me a
strong (understatement) bike. I am back to being afraid of what my bike
can do. It has been a long time since I have felt that way. I only went
in the air with it once and that was enough for me. Having a bike that
can go into the air just from raw HP is quite a treat. I will have to
learn how to keep it from doing that !!! If your in the market for high
performance and you want your vmax to be normally aspirated then I would
suggest this configuration. I can't imagine the type of bike that can
beat this bike consistently. HOWEVER, I went to the track on friday
night and there was a turbo blackbird there. He runs ridiculous speeds
and he is extended out about 8 inches. Does anyone know how you measure
wheelbase ?. I measured mine from axle to axle and I am about 2 inches
over stock if that is the way it is done. I don't think my max can keep
with the turbo. I will count on Paul's turbo max to keep with the
turbo's (Go DOMIE). My bike however will beat just about anything the
street can throw at me. My last ride on my max tonite was a jaunt up the
street to and back down it. I roasted the tire on acceleration and then
it finally coaught traction and wow !! Guys/Gals it is really quick
!!!I will get some pics posted on my website soon and you can drop me a
line telling me what you think. I need some parts and if anyone has
these for sale give me a shout. I need a right side mirror. I also need
one engine mount forgot which side but if you have one for sale give me
a shout. On the technical side the engine kill switch that was installed
on the bike doesn't kill the engine. Suggestions ? I am also running a
little rich as evidenced by my plugs and a little bit of black smoke. I
have the 150 mains in my 41mm keihnns so if anyone has suggestions on
that I would also appreciate it.
My goal is to get it to the track on Wednesday. Test and Tune night. I
am lacking leathers and a qualified helmet. I will attempt to locate
this so that I can run. Anyone care to watch ? Lets hook up and I'll
keep you in the loop on whether I am ready. This vmax rocks ! I will be
extremely competitive with my bike against the 900rr and zx whatevers
and yes I will kick the (stock) busa's butt !!! No question about it.
