I use a product from Versachem called Mega Copper type 888. It's a high
temp silicone sealer. I've used it on all the joints on my Holeshot
exhaust and it provides a good solid seal. You want the joints sealed
well to maintain the proper back pressure and reduce the possibility of
back fires which can fry you valves. Be sure to clean the pipe ends
well with fine steel wool first.
