Condensation from open air will occur anywhere it gets an opportunity
.. just like on your ice tea glass. However, a noticeable amount of
condensation is disturbing and unless you are parking in a freezer ...
hanging from the inside of the lid is a bit too much. This condition
will be aggravated if you start an engine and don't let the oil come
up to temperature, (like 180 degrees). I would take a very good look
at the oil ... it is entirely possible you have excessive blow by or a
gasket leak that is allowing an abnormal amount of water to get into
the crankcase. The hot oil is evaporating this excessive moisture ...
and it vents into the airbox where it condenses.
