Dan. The chains do stretch some, but since our max's have a chain tensioner
you wouldn't gain much from the change on a stock engine. I do recommend
changing the timing chains at every engine rebuild, but unless you feel your
engine timing is being affected wait till then. If you fell your chain is
stretched take the valve cover off and measure the chain pin to pin. Now
look up the allowable stretch limits for the chain and go from their. Take
care.
