Just a question about the red marking on the midget size rev counter and how to use
the information on the dial.

Now with the jets (S7K) and TBR double cans when I accelerate there is no noticeable
power drop when you enter the red zone, on the contrary it keeps going strong or even
stronger!

So I was just wondering, after I raced a Honda Fireblade through heavy traffic
yesterday evening, both of us doing all sorts of crazy things, I came to realise that
after the 11.000 rpm the dial becomes white once more and the needle seems quite happy
in that area with no numbers, soooo........ maybe it is safe once more and you could
even find the 1000 rpm once again and keep on going to the red zone for the second
time!

Seriously, this is the first bike I own that does not let you feel the waste of time
in getting the revs over the red line, on the contrary it seems to want more and more
stick. I will have to buy that retched rev limiter before I see valves and other
useful bits coming out through the exhaust pipes.

By the way, the guy with the Fireblade, after I overtook him in third gear doing
something close to 12.000 rpm made a mistake in the following corner and ended up in a
small gravel road, as he followed the curves tangent.

No one was hurt in this challenge, but I feel guilty of letting my ego override my
normal way of being.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?
