I seemed to remember reading about the bike Kainzinger built and since I
save all of my magazines I pulled out the two issues with articles on his
Vmax (June 97 Cycle World and December 98 Motorcyclist). Well it is
expensive for sure but both magazines seemed to have a lot of good things to
say about it and the bike did seem to have a lot of nice pieces (Stack
guages, too, I noticed), so I guess my question to Don is what exactly did
he say that's so out of line? I saw one comment of his about Vmax owners not
especially ready to put up the kind of money he was asking compared to some
who buy his other modified sportbikes which may or may not be true but I
sure have to appreciate what he built. It's quite a monster! I can scan and
post the articles and pictures so everyone can take a look. I'll drop a note
when it's online.
