At least for the Mac version of Outlook Express the way to fix things is
different. I don't know about the Windows version, but you may check just in
case. In the Mac version, under the edit menu there's a heading
"Preferences". Open preferences and there's a file tab called "compose".
There's an option called "messages" "Mail format" the two choices are text
and html. Choose text. That's it.
If there's a Preferences menu item in Windows, it will probably work the
same.
