This brings up a question... Has anyone ever offered an aftermarket frame
for the Max? I've seen it with other bikes. Mostly sportbikes and (of
Course) ...HD's. Would the certifications be the biggest roadblock? I know
it's been done with one-off machines like that yellow Martek-engineered
monster, but has anyone ever considered it for commercial sale? My Vmax
knowledge is not that deep. Anyone ever hear of such a beast?

Hal

I had a wicked slow speed wobble due to my drop tanks. I installed Mr.
Furber's frame brace and no more wobble. The Max is seriously under
engineered as far as rigidity is concerned. In 85 Yamaha did to a bike what
the "Big Three" did to cars in the late 60's and 70's.... took thier
biggest engine and placed it in the smallest frame that could hold it up.
What you get to the same result. Great Mussle Machines!!!!! Rockets in a
straight line, but not worth a snow ball in hell as far as the twisties are
concerned.
