For all of the obvious virtures a V-Max has, it still has a cruiser-like geometry
(rake, trail,wheel-base, ground clearance). It simply isn't a sport bike, although
it's quite a bit more responsive and agile than most pure cruisers (Harleys, Vulcans,
etc.). The obvious things to try are adjusting your preload up(adjusting the rear
springs), and adding some front fork pressure (all of the recommended settings and
pressures are in the owner's manual). Of course, you're compromising...you'll get a
harder (meaning less soft) ride, in return for the ability to corner quicker. It's a
