That was quite the link.  Lots of information there.  They do have a
good point about PIAA'a claims.  Machines have tested and have reported
these "superwhite" bulbs are physically not brighter.  That may be true
but, humans are not machines.  They are beings of perception and
interpretation.  To complicate things, no two people perceive and
interpret information the same way.

As Ken has attested to, these bulbs do appear brighter.  That surely
improves one of the functions of a headlight, which is to be seen.  The
second function is to illuminate the road and surroundings to see. 
Although he has not said so specifically, I assume Ken can also see
better.  

It would really be nice if we could see a side by side comparison of
these bulb types along with objective results and subjective
interpretations of the results.  I am still running the stock H4 60/55
bulb because I have yet to sift through all the seemingly contradictory
information.  I am starting to think however, that to achieve greater
illumination, a higher wattage bulb is the answer.
