When riding in the rain, you run a much greater risk of "being through"
with hard launches, braking or cornering that you will with Vboost
kicking in.  Vboost is not a sudden, abrupt infusion of power.  It's a
gradual activation above 6k rpm.  I rode in Oregon for 17 years (240
days of rain/yr) and learned to just ease up on the throttle when the
road conditions change.  Of course not all on my Vmax but, this applies
to any bike.  To be on the safe side, just keep it below or slightly
above 6k rpm when it's raining.  Of course, this us just my opinion.
