I can't imagine that you'll be hitting 6k RPM on a rainy day unbless your
totally crazy. I occasionally get stuck riding through a downpour in my
daily commute and find that I don't get much higher than 4K-RPM when
shifting, never even getting close to the V-boost. And believe me, the first
30 minutes of a rain shower leaves the asphalt pavement very slippery until
all that grease/oil/etc. washes off. So, don;t worry about the boost, just
concentrate on being smooth and linear with all your controls, especially the
throttle and brakes.
