Greetings,

Yesterday was the 13th Garlic Run into New York's Little Italy. I made
the trip with a friend on his new ZX6R and it was 300 plus miles of fun.
A glitch developed when for the first time ever my temp needle slowly
swung up to the RED ZONE. To make matters worse (timing is everything)
the episode took place locked in a line of 7,000 other bikes streaming
toward New York City. Actually, the streaming was uneventful, when
moving my temp stayed in the middle, but when the group bottlenecked ( a
la Holland Tunnel ) continued participation became a calculated risk.
Long story short I survived the tunnel (STRESS : watching the needle
touch then ever so slightly rise past the RED when inside a tunnel where
there is NO WHERE to pull off - shut down ) and now the troubleshoot
begins.

I have the Nissan water temp sensor - switch mod which resulted in
significantly lower temps since its implementation two years ago.

Pump is pumping. Remove radiator cap, water wetter full AND circulating.
Electric fans do switch on, and can be seen to move. The edge of the
stock plastic blade is "chewed up" when it tried to consume a stray hose
soon after the Tourmaster transplant. It appears to be working.

Any clues or suggestions? What's the hot (err...COOL) set up on
aftermarket fans?
