Kurt,
It may blow up .. who knows ... it is a new engine ... but I just
thought I would mention ... that the last time I had the carbs
completely apart, (broke the stack into individual carbs etc), I just
did a best guess on the sync, (all you can do until you start the
engine again). I started the bike and then shut it down right away
because I though I had dropped something in the engine etc ... I
finally realized that I probably had a couple of cylinders with the
throttle plates completely closed and that was exactly what it was ...
As I got closer to the "ballpark" things began to hum like they were
supposed to ........ All I am saying is that if the you get one
cylinder on a pair doing absolutely nothing it will make a terrible
clanking, knocking sound at idle ... If you have this "sound" past
idle then you are probably dust ....... IMHO .......
