Steve,
Maybe I will do the same, just have it for a few weeks.......

John ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) has both and lives happily with them, so I might just
do the same.

I want to thank him for his explanations on what mods to do (K&N's, jet kit and so
on), but I want to remind him that this is a 2000 model with programmed fuel
injection, four way titanium exhaust valve (minimum flow when idling, fully open at
complete blast) and the same on the suction side, in the filter box, so it always has
the right suction and exhaust conditions regardless of the rpm you are doing.

Wish we could get the same installed on our Maxes (can't be too difficult, and make
them work with the vacuum signal)........sniff.

Anyway, with a claimed 152 hp perfect handling, as light as a feather (exactly the
same weight as the smaller CBR 600 F) and so on, it can not be a boring ride. I picked
it up yesterday but it was pissing down with rain so I just rode it home, through
heavy traffic never over 30 mph. It was nice not to have to pull any choke when I
started her up and was kind and smooth at such ridiculous speeds.

I'm leaving for Aussie Land in a couple of months time and I'll have to put both bikes
in a storage company's warehouse for six months. That will be hard, being in Australia
without a bike.........( I'm still thinking of taking the Max, but I'd hate to think
how they treat the bike on the return shipment, five months go by very
quickly.........)

Best regards,
Charles ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
