thanks for all the replies, i usually use pb blaster but ran out so wd40 was all i had, but i still dont think that would have helped, i even heated it , after i rounded one of the nuts (with a 6pt mac socket) i drove it to the shop that did rebuilt the forks and showed him, of course he asked all the questions, did you use the right size socket, did you loosen the pinch bolts, blah blah blah, well i didnt put them on to tight he says , he didnt seem to believe me when i told him i used a 6pt socket and a 1/2 inch breaker bar with me keeping the socket flush and me and my wife pulling , until he tried to get them off ,he had to use a manual impact driver , and finally after whacking the shit out of it they started to turn, so while they were out i had him put the new springs in , cut the spacer, adjust the oil level, and do the deal, the only reason i let him work on the bike is because i know he personally did the job , and he really is a good mechanic, ( myself and alot of people have never had a problem in the past) the only thing i could think of is maybe one of his helpers put them on with an impact gun, that shop has become much busier and they have new help, but even better while he was working on it i went across the street and had a pint of Guinness and some hot wings , came back picked the bike up and the front end is great, nice feel , big improvement, and i lived happily ever after THE END THANKS EVERYONE Vinny Giglio vmoa 1009 freehold nj .............................................
