I just got my Max back after two months following an accident. If you must
know, I hit a dog. He lived but he kicked the crap out of my Beastie. The
bike runs fine for the first 10 to 15 minutes of a ride but soon it doesn't
want to get up and go if I give it some throttle. First it seems like it's
getting too much fuel when I give it full throttle but eventually it only
want to run at idle. I know I have a problem with my charging system because
my battery loses it's charge while I ride. I have to hook it up to the
charger for 8 to 10 hours if I ride the bike for a couple of hours. Could a
bad battery or rectifier regulator cause this poor performance? I suppose
the accident could have screwed up my carbs, any ideas? Thanks.
