Randy, I used pealable shims for a helicoptor rotor blade.I cut the I.D.with a hole punch. and cut the o.d. then pealed the shims for the thickness required. I found a special SS aircraft washer for the .075 gap I had. Never make what someone has already made for you! I would imagine you can buy pealable shim stock from a sheet metal supply distributer.
