Phil,
12.7, (idle) is 100% charged, 12.5 is 75%, 12.2 is 50%, (getting close
to trouble) .... There is a voltage chart on my web page and links to

Yours just hasn't settled back down yet ...... put a headlight on it
for three to five seconds .. take it off and then see what it raises
back up to if you want a real reading ..... When you are doing a
"charge" you should take the battery up to 14.4 ......... then if you
want to float ... stay under 13.8, (will boil there), 13.2 is
preferred but anything up to 13.65 etc is OK ... especially when it is
hotter. If yours sat for a couple of days and pulled at least 1/2 amp
and didn't make it past 13.75 then I would do the headlamp, (load),
test ........ it should have made it to 14.4 in that amount of time
..... (assuming your charger could attain that voltage etc) ..........
