I know Starters are boring! but, this question has been posted by different
people a few times with no response. 1. What years have a 4-brush starter?
1996-2000? 2. Will the 4-brush starter work on the early models (mine is a
85) without other mods. 3. Does this starter work any better? The root
of my problem is 12.5 :1 compression. Any help would be greatly

FYI-Batteries for the Desperate. I completely removed my battery box and use
a 260cca Honda Goldwing 1500 battery. It will just barely fit, is very close
to the headers, has to be wrapped with heat tape and also has to be bungied
in. Yuasa also has a 300cca gel cell for the goldwing on their web site.
This will most likely be my next battery.
