I waited for mt "P-51" to get good and broken in(5,000 miles); added Walker's XR-1 to
the crank case and pumpkin (you can get this 20% cheeper at Wal-Mart); 40PSI on both
front and rear tires; Mystery Oil in gas(2oz per 10 gallons); filled up with 15
gallons("P-51" drop tanks); and hit I-25, El Paso to ALBQ for 4 hours at
80MPH(308miles)....=42MPG.
I have to admit in ALBQ, with that "calling" MSD shifter light, and those plastic
bikes begging to be spanked... I have gotten as low as 17MPG!!! Took a BU*A(you know
we are not to use foul language on this list) this weekend!!! He did not know how to
ride... A couple of twist of my Max's throttle at the red light and I could see his
eyes light up in his helmet. He leaned over his tank and stagged.... light turned
green.... he pulled a 3 1/2 foot wheelie.... my "P-51" launched perfectly with a
slight slip on the rear tire. A couple of red MSD flashes, and I was at the next
light in nuteral waiting for him to pull up. All he could do was give me a thumb's
up, hang his head and ride off into the night....
