Dooweb2,
Hopefully you can get a replacement pilot mixture screw, (I assume
that is what was broken), from a local dealer or K&N, (check the list
web site for discount and contact information), or from HLSM,
http://www.hlsm1.com/ ). This is Yomama part no: 12R-14105-00-00
...PILOT SCREW SET - list - $13.74 - US; HLSM sells them for $10.57.
Actually you get the assembly ... spring, o-ring, washer and screw
.... I wonder where the tip went ??!?

Yes .. you can put different pilot fuel and air jets in ......... I
suspect they might not be of that much use to you on a stock airbox
configuration unless you have chronic off-idle stumble etc ... They
are very helpful however for fattening up the lower end on "relieved"
air boxes etc ...... Euro models, (as Tyler pointed out previously),
do run larger pilot fuel jets stock, (42.5 instead of 37.5), and some
slightly smaller pilot air jets, (which will richen the pilot mixture
as well). If you want to emulate one of those configurations I will
repost the information but this is not a HP issue .. more of a
driveability thing ...... If you just want to fatten up the bottom a
little to see what it is like, (and your plugs stay decent looking),
try replacing the Mikuni 170s, (PAJ2), that are located behind the
slide rubber, (try something like a MK150 or a DJ 160 for starters and
see if you like it ... don't bother if you are already running dark
plugs at cruise).

If you have oil in the airbox you probably have too much oil in the
engine ... it does a good job of ejecting what it feels is excess. I
used to fill right up to the top of the window on a level surface only
to find a little puddle making it into the airbox etc ... IMHO ... Try
getting on a level surface when you add oil and stay about 1/8 inch
away from the top line ... that should eliminate excess being burped
up the tube.
