Yea, they were painted royal blue with the yellow outline of La. on the fake tank cover. Looked sharp!!!! Sure wish I could get a pic of that!!!! They only lasted two years: 85 new and carried over to 86. The Officers complained of the uncomfortable seat during an 8 hour shift..... so in 87 the department switched to the Kawa 1,100 Police Special and have been using that bike ever since. I was too young but I bet you could have gotten the old Max 85's at public auction for a good price.
