Terry the switch in Dale's cooling kit is also available from Dennis Kirk under their part # 21-200. They call it a "Doo-Dad" switch. Their catalog price is $14.99. The same thing is available from J.C Whitney under their part # 06AA2332R, their price is $12.98. I've had one of these on my '99 since it had about 2k miles on the clock from new. I couldn't stand that needle climbing over 1/2 way in summer or in heavy traffic. I am another one who prefers totally manual control. By the way, Dale's fan (Muzzy Aluminum) doesn't even work as well as the stock plastic one as far as airflow is concerned so don't waste your money. A local V-Max owner bought a bunch of Dale's stuff and that item was really a waste of money. Just buy the manual switch and hook up one of each of the 2 wires coming out of the switch to one of each of the 2 terminals coming out of the OEM fan temp switch next to the the coolant filler tank under the RHS fake air scoop. You could also fit the Borg-Warner temp switch and have manual control as well. I found the full manual control perfect for me and have never fitted the Borg-Warner switch even though I bought one intending to use it. Sam Blumenstein #795 "Terry L.
